If you watched Monday Night Football this week, you might have realized that a certain opening played by one bearded country man was missing. That’s because ESPN decided to omit Hank Williams Jr’s “Are You Ready for Some Football” opening sequence after he compared Obama to Hitler in a FOX News interview. In an interview on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” Hank Williams commented on Obama’s golf outing with House Speaker John Boehner, saying:
“It’d be like Hitler playing golf with (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu.”
Hm. Today, Hank Williams Jr released a statement through his website and Facebook apologizing, saying that his passion for sports and politics “got the best or worst of me. The thought of the leaders of both parties jukin and high fiven on a golf course, while so many families are struggling to get by simply made me boil over and make a dumb statement. I am very sorry if it offended anyone.”

Well at least he knows how to apologize. I wonder if we’ll be “Ready For Some Footbaalll” next Monday night.
